Good Sport Functions & Venue Hire in Napier

Good Sport is one of Napier’s newest spots for group bookings, events and celebrations. Whether you’re planning a birthday, team function, corporate event or a big night with friends, we’ve got flexible spaces, great food, and an atmosphere built for good times.

When you're comparing venue hire options in Napier, Good Sport gives you something a bit different. Big screens everywhere, indoor golf simulators, generous food options, and a team that knows how to look after a crowd.

Capacity: 80 standing / 50 seated

The Trophy Room is our private function space. It’s ideal for corporate groups, sports clubs, milestone birthdays and end-of-year parties. The room includes:

  • A pool table

  • A large screen for presentations or keeping the game on

  • A tinted interior window for privacy

  • Space to theme or decorate

  • Optional access to the golf simulators

A $250 booking fee secures your date. Minimum spend may apply.

Our group catering is flexible and designed to suit everything from casual drinks to full dinners.

Make it memorable. Our Golf Genius simulators are available as an optional add-on for functions. Great for team building, work events or as a fun break between courses.

  • Yes! As long as it’s tidy and damage-free. Chat with us to arrange setup times before your event . 

    Only Blu-Tack is allowed (no tape, pins, nails, or sticky strips). No glitter, confetti, or anything else that lingers

  • We can add the two golf simulators to any group booking for only $100 per hour. Please contact us to confirm times and how this will work with the flow of the event.

  • We’ve got flexible options, chat with us about what’ll work best for your group: bar tab, cash bar or subsidised tab. Customised choices for beverage tabs include tap beers, house wines and spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, or full choice with top-shelf spirits and cocktails.

  • No BYO food or booze, sorry. All catering and alcohol must be supplied by us.

    You’re welcome to bring a celebration cake, let us know in advance if fridge storage space is needed.

  • Absolutely. We’re more than happy to cater for gluten-free, vegan, allergy-friendly, and other dietary needs, just let us know when you book. While we’ll do our best to accommodate your requirements, please note we can’t guarantee the absence of trace elements.

  • Yes. For groups of 20 or more, we use our function menus to keep service fast and the food fresh.

  • Yes, but they’ll need to be with their parent or legal guardian from 9pm; that’s part of our liquor licence. Highchairs, colouring packs, and kid-friendly meals are available.

  • Yes, we’ve got plenty of parking right outside the venue. Parking is also available on the side road.

  • It is. We have accessible entrances, bathrooms, and seating. Let us know if anyone in your group needs extra support.
